It's been too long!

I know that it's been a while since I've posted on here...life has been so crazy and hectic lately!  I plan to do some baking this week, but in the meantime, here is the July recipe featured in the Phoenix Pack newsletter.  Enjoy!!

Tuna Bits

4 cans tuna (small cans, in water, not oil)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup yellow corn meal
1/2 cup water
2 eggs

Mash tuna into small pieces with fork and mix eggs into tuna.  In a separate bowl, mix baking soda and corn meal.  Add tuna to corn meal mixture and add water until well combined.  Drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet in small amounts (I use a cupcake squeeze bottle to make "drops" similar to the size of a Hershey's Kiss on the cookie sheet).  Bake at 375 degrees in an oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.  Allow to cool completely.  Freeze portions you won't feed within the next week and refrigerate the remainder.  They make nice treats for training!

I Scream, You Scream...

Even dogs scream for ICE CREAM!

This is an easy way to give your pup(s) a nice way to cool down during the warm weather!
This is my first batch for this year - I had some frozen strawberries in the freezer, so I made strawberry!  Since we don't have foster dogs anymore, one batch lasts a lot longer - I'm not sure how many batches I'll get to do this year!

Name cookies

It's not the best picture (taken with my old cell phone) but I wanted to use my new cookie cutters, so I made some carrot cookies and used the cookie cutters to make the dog's names.

I had hoped that they would rise and "stick" together, but they didn't.  I still like them!

Puppy Pretzels!

These are honey yogurt whole wheat pretzels!  They are for dogs, but I've tried them and they are very good!  My taste testers LOVE them!  I have made bigger ones in the past, but the smaller ones are easier for giving out as quick treats.  They take a lot longer to make, but I think I like them better!

Chloe's treat that needs a name!

I think these are my favorite treats so far.  I think it's because they smell WONDERFUL while they are cooking!  I was tempted to try them because they smelled so good!

They are made with ground oats, honey, plain yogurt, egg, and cinnamon and are made into bite sized pieces.

Only thing is, they don't have a name!  I've decided these are Chloe's, since Paco already has his Party Cakes (to be posted at a later date).  Any suggestions?

Beeting Hearts

Here is a Valentine's Day treat that I made.  It's made from beets and while I didn't care for the smell, both of my taste testers loved them!
